Welcome back!!! I hope you all enjoyed the Thanksgiving break! (It went fast!)
This week, we are starting all new units:
English II - Beginning with a “webquest” of sorts, you will be learning background information regarding the Salem Witch Trials and we will begin reading The Crucible by Arthur Miller this week.
English III – Our King Arthur unit officially ends on Friday when you turn in your Essay Test. During class, we are delving into topic and thesis statements for the upcoming Position paper.

English II – We will be finishing the Age of Reason unit this week and taking a short test on Monday/Tuesday before Thanksgiving Break. I should be able to return your Source Supported Essays at that time.
English III - For this week, you need to have read through chapter 16 by Thursday (11/20) and through chapter 20 by Monday (11/24). Don’t forget to put some additional time into your Graphic Organizers before you present on Thursday!
Creative Writing - Click on the link to find your Personal Memoir and comment on the work your peers have done! Do this by Friday, November 21, 2008.

Lots of reading this week!English II – Now that you have turned in your Source Supported Essays (and I am grading as fast as I can!), we are moving on to our Age of Reason Unit. From this point on, you need to bring your text book to class!
English III – On Friday, you need to be familiar with the vocabulary off the board and be prepared to present your Medieval Power Point Project in class. Don’t forget to turn in your one page summary in MLA format, or to include a Sources slide for your presentation. By Tuesday, you need to have read through chapter 16.

English III – Continue Reading The Sword in the Stone; create/maintain character list with descriptions.
Creative Writing – Personal Memoir (Final draft due Friday)

English II – We are finishing the research component of our SOURCE SUPPORTED ESSAY unit.
English III – We are learning background information for the KING ARTHUR unit.
Creative Writing – We have just finished making our Children’s Picture Books.
English II - We will begin organizing our data and writing our papers. We will go over MLA Citations.
English III – We are reading The Once and Future King.
Creative Writing – We are beginning our Creative Nonfiction unit.
